That I missed my period? I mean that it has come and gone already. The symptoms are gone - no more pimples, cramps or headaches (except for now, but I suspect its from the alcohol) and I did have some reddish brown discharge for a few days, but no flow and no spotting. I didn't need a liner at all. But now, when I go to the bathroom, the toilet paper is clean, no blood, not even a hint of it. WTF?
I am frustrated. I can deal with it being late, but I find it hard when it feels like it has come and gone without me knowing. I am not sure what to do. Any thoughts?

That's so bizarre, R. I so hope AF shows up tomorrow so that you don't have to be in limbo.

That is quite strange R...but for me the first couple of cycles after a m/c are anything but normal. Perhaps your nurse has some insight?
ReplyDeleteI agree with Lisa ~ your first cycles after a m/c are all over the board. I thought for sure I was having my period because the bleeding after the D&C was over but then a week later I was bleeding again and there was a lot of dark, yucky stuff. Finally it was determined that I didn't have a "real period" until 7 weeks after I lost the twins.
ReplyDeleteHang in there, I know this is the hardest part. You just want to move on and your body isn't cooperating...let nature take it's course, it really is better to let your body heal on it's own time.
Hugs to you.
Gosh, I don't know, it is strange. Maybe, like the other commenters said, your body isn't back on its regular schedule yet. Which sucks. I'd ask the nurse.
ReplyDeleteThat's really weird. Can they check your hormones to see what stage you are at? Or does that only work to check for ovulation? I hope things get sorted out quickly - I know you are going crazy waiting.
ReplyDeleteUgh R. I am so sorry. Any chance you could get some bloodwork to check your levels and see where you are in a cycle? I've had to do that in the past and it at least let me know where I stood with my body. If only our bodies would just cooperate once.... ! Hugs to you~
ReplyDeleteI don't have any answers, just popping in to say I'm sorry. Can't something just go as planned??
ReplyDeleteIsnt your RE still on the hook to follow up on this? Consider going back in for a check to get a piece of mind?
ReplyDeleteMine after miscarriage was heavy, so I dont know how to advise.
I am thinking about you. I hate that place so very much.
