Sad

I spent the afternoon with a girl friend. She is pregnant with her third, this is her second time lapping me. We were at the mall where she dragged me into a fucking maternity store for over thirty minutes. It was just so hard. I tried to leave, but couldn't. I just kept picturing how cute I would have looked by now. I'm just sad.

  1. Dragged you into a maternity store?? Does she know what you've been through lately?! Not cool. So sorry you had to deal with the news, the lapping, the store--UGH. ((Hugs))

  4. Oh gosh, that must have been awful. I'm so sorry. You are a really good friend to have gone there, even though it was hard for you. I admire that.

  5. That just sucks. I don't think I could have done that. I would have just told her I'd meet her at another store nearby. You are a very good friend. Her, not so much.

  6. I'm sorry you had to go through that. Life after a m/c is hard, sometimes I think it's harder than going through the trials of IF b/c you constantly think about what could have been. I know your pain and am sending you big hugs and lots of love. It does get easier...for me it was when we were able to cycle again. I was an addict that way though ~ as long as I was cycling I could deal with the crap. If we were on a forced break I didn't feel like I was doing anything to create our family and I felt helpless. In the meantime just focus on getting and keeping your body healthy for your embryos!
    Take care

On a better note I was so glad to see your FET is not being delayed at all!!

  8. OMG, why she would ask you to go with her into that store is awful. Sending you imaginary chocolate, strawberries, and Asti Spumante. Geez!

PS - yesterday was not great for me either. The nurse thought I couldn't do what I had planned to do even though I already spoke to Dr. S about it. I am so tired of the ups and downs from this crap. I am busy spending my time with other projects.

  9. What was she thinking?? What kind of "friend" would drag another friend into a maternity store knowing they had just miscarried??? I'm so sorry you had to go through that. I would be sad too...

  10. You should have left the store. You need to understand that no one will look out for your best interests, except Y-O-U. Therefore, take the steps necessary to take care of yourself. If that means walking out of the store and browsing the store next to it, then do it. You need to put yourself first. And don't hang out with pregnant friends - you will be there someday, but right now, don't torture yourself. Remember, you come first. My VERY BEST FRIEND was pregnant after I lost my first child, and I was back in IVF treatment, and I didn't see her until the baby was 3 months old. She understood, and so will your true friends. xxoo

  11. uhhh...what kind of friend is that? I'm hoping she doesn't know what's gone on with you - if she does, that's awful.

If she doesn't - please, please protect yourself!! I know it can feel awkward, but your feelings are valid and important.
