Official Job!

I signed the papers this morning. I am so relieved that something worked out the way it was supposed to and excited at my new job. In September I will be teaching a special education middle school class for half the day and then coordinating the special education program the other half. This job is so perfect for me as it combines my love of classroom instruction with leadership. So yay, somehting good.

On another note, I think I may be bleeding. I mean, I am definetely bleeding and it is bright red, but not enough to soak a liner so I am not sure if that qualifies. Since I am giving myself until tonight to take those dreaded pills, I just want to make sure that the bleeding I'm experiencing is enough to count as the official bleed. Any thoughts? Do we think its like a period where the first day is a bit weak and then it gets heavier? I really want to avoid the pills if I can, but I don't want to prolong this anymore. I just want it over with.

Today is the first time in two weeks that I have somehting to smile about, so I am going to hold on to this feeling.

  1. Fantastic news about that job! Sounds like a great opportunity!!

As for the bleeding for me it started sort of light, but not too light, then definitely got heavier.... I hope you can avoid the pills!

I can't tell you anything about the bleeding, but I also hope you can avoid the pills and that it will be over quickly.

  3. Yea for the new job!!! So glad you got some good news and something to look forward to.

As for the bleeding, it may be light the entire time. My last m/c was way better than I thought it would be. I expected the worst, yet it was just like a period. If you had been carrying for longer, it would be much worse.

  5. Wonderful news on the job!! Congrats!

As for the bleeding, if it has already started, why not wait until tomorrow morning to take the pill if you are not sure? IMHO if the lining has started to shed, hopefully it will completely shed soon.

  6. I am so sorry that your pregnancy is ending. My experience when I miscarried around 11 weeks was days and days of spotting and light bleeding then all heck broke lose and I soaked the clothes I was wearing and couldn't get off the toilet unless I was in the shower. Eventually my midwife gave me something to cause cramps which got the bleeding to stop.

Again, I am very, very sorry. I'm glad you got some good news with the job.

  7. I m/c around 8 wks and tended toward a thinner lining too. For me, it was not like a period since I never had a lot of red blood. It was mostly brown and some tissue. It did last a few days, but the pain was also minimal. I took a half day off work mostly b/c of the hormones/reality of it all sinking in. I went in to work in the afternoon because I didn't want to sit home and think about it. I personally would wait at least another day before adding chemicals to the mix.

  8. Congratulations on the job! It sounds like the perfect fit.

I've had several early miscarriages, and they're generally very similar to a period, sometimes a little bit heavier and sometimes not. The lining starts to shed as the progesterone level drops, and that's usually a gradual drop, so the bleeding doesn't usually start out full-force. JMHO, but I think it's probably starting. If it was me, I'd hold off on the pills.

I'm sorry you're having to go through this.

  9. That's great news! As a fellow middle school special ed teacher, I am so excited for you. Sounds like a perfect blend for you. Is this with a new district? Can't wait to hear about it and so glad something finally fell into place.

I don't have any insight on the bleeding. Hoping that you don't have to take the pills!
